The Bet

Although I wasn't able to begin writing the next chapter today (and I doubt I will be able to start it tomorrow either), I figured I'd write a quick journal entry, somewhat about the last chapter, and about what's coming up for the future!

First, the bet at the end of the last chapter (that just was posted about 24 hours ago!) Will Han be able to write a piece of romantic poetry and beat Leia, enabling him to read one of HER journal entries (that he now knows she has), or will Leia be right (again) and will Han have to spend an entire day at her will? It's a good question...and I am really excited to be writing the next few chapters, as I know EXACTLY how I am going to end the next one...and no, you won't know FOR sure who won the bet until about two chapters from now, but there will be a clue here and there.

Secondly, what's coming up in the story. Let's see, other than what I said for the next few chapters, here's some ideas...we will be getting to Bespin, and we will have several chapters there before the end of the story. Leia will have doubts about going there though! There will be a really cute and cheesy moment between them, but it will be totally in context and will, of course, have Han's cocky comments stuck in there! We will also be seeing more Chewie and Goldenrod, as well as another movie...and a very interesting discussion that comes out of it. =)

That's really all I can tell you right now, as I can't tell you much of anything else about my upcoming stories because it would give away the ending of this one...but don't fret. I shall have the description for the next story posted on the LAST chapter of this one...or on a separate note at the end. =)

Han Solo and the Princess

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than at the piano? I recently downloaded the first page of sheet music for "Han Solo and the Princess" and I attacked it this afternoon. It took me a good two hours to get it down and then recorded without any mistakes. It was awful hard!

There was one case where I played it perfectly and was recording, but my cat was there, and you could hear her bell...and it ruined it. So I had to redo it. Finally, after about 100 tries, I got it perfect to my liking. 

I figured I'd share it with all of you, since the music of Star Wars inspires me to write, so I figured it might help you too! 

And there's no picture to the video, just sound...because that's the way I record my piano playing. LOL. 

Adorableness

What did I spend my Saturday doing? Nothing of course!!!

Well, if you call searching for funny pictures, watching "The Empire Strikes Back", finding funny videos (If you haven't seen George Lucas Strikes Back...go watch...NOW), downloading awesome ringtones for my iPhone (it can now say...in Han's voice..."I've got a bad feeling about this"!!!), working on my signature and reading a good book nothing.

Yes, I spent time today watching Empire, which is, I decided my favorite Star Wars movie...but only when Han and Leia are around. Now don't kill me, but honestly, I'm not a big fan of Star Wars outside of the the Han and Leia relationship. Maybe the lightsabers and force moving thing are pretty cool, but other than those things...it's boring to me. That's ok though, because there is plenty of Han and Leia relationship to go around, especially with my story along with all of the other fanfiction stories, and here's a list of the moments I love between them in Empire...

ALL OF THEM.

There's the list...isn't it amazing? Honestly, in the picture below, I love how they are holding hands....it's just so cute, and it makes me all warm, happy and fuzzy inside...if that makes sense. That really is what I was thinking when I was watching the movie and it got to that part...and Han is blasting at Vader, and he grabs Leia's hand...so adorable.

I love these two. =)

Happy 35th Birthday Star Wars!

Today is, apparently, the 35th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope. Don't worry, I didn't finish the movie last night when I was watching it, so I've got plenty of Star Wars I can watch for this special occasion (maybe even 5 and 6!) It's amazing how no one believed that this series would become a hit, and here WE are reading fanfiction 35 years later! That means that official, Han Solo was "invented" today! Awesome!

And so now, since I have little else to say at the moment, I am going to go and continue watching Star Wars, because what else would there to be to do on a special day like this?

A New Hope

As I write the next chapter of 40 Days, I decided to watch "A New Hope" again, and while it is my least favorite of the original trilogy (probably due to the lack of Han and Leia) it will help me get another sense of the characters I represent so often. That's one of my best writing tips...make sure you know your characters. In the case of a movie, it's generally easier than in a book, because you physically see and hear that character throughout the movie, and lucky for me, there are THREE movies with Han and Leia, making it pretty easy for me to get a sense of their personalities.

I suggest, that before you start any fanfiction about a movie, that you watch it several times, and focus in a lot on the portions of the movie that feature your character(s) in particular. Then, start small. Don't expect to be able to write a giant 40 chapter story right away. It's probably best if you start with a one-shot, or a one chapter story, or one with very few chapters, such as my first Han and Leia fic, Small Talk. After that, I find that you should start with something realtively easy for a longer story, just as I am doing with 40 Days. Yes, I made it a bit harder considering the fact that I choose to do more chapters than less, but I also didn't start with something like their relationship after Jedi, which is probably one of the harder ones to do.

New Chapter: Rogues

For those of you following my story "40 Days", I posted a new chapter late last night, so you should check it out. Something BIG happens!

And for today's inspiration, I'm going to share one of my favorite pictures. =) This picture hasn't been used in the story yet, but it will be soon, and it's honestly probably my favorite "kiss" picture of the two of them. If you have a Han/Leia pic, even if it's not just general fanart (it could be a on-set picture too!) then share it, cause I'd love to see more!

The next chapter will hopefully be up sometime today or tomorrow, but I can't make too many promises. =)

Carbon-Freeze Me

Just saw this on twitter today...a new thing they have going on over at Hollywood Studios for Star Wars Weekends! This is honestly one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

So, here's the question. Have you ever wondered what it was like for Han, being frozen in Carbonate? Or what you might look like in the grey block? Guess what...you can find out...kind of.

This new program is called "Carbon-Freeze Me" and is running for the length of Star Wars weekends down at Disney, even on weekdays! Here's the official page to learn more, but honestly, if I was able to go, I'd be coming home (or sending home) a carbon block of ME!

A Long Time Ago...

Alright my lovely readers, you asked for it, and here it is!

This is my official Han and Leia Fanfiction Blog! It is here where you will find my inspiration, new chapters, new ideas, my random comments, notes, messages and a whole ton of other stuff. And yeah, I'll even go through yours and help you as well. That's right...all this Han and Leia awesomeness AND you get help on your own writing! Am I great or what?

...I need to stop talking to my English teacher...LOL.

I can't say I'll be able to post all the time, but I'll post as often as I can, and probably more often that I originally thought LOL. I'll try and make a way for all my stories by chapter to be accessible on here too. =)
